Candle Care Guide

Candle Care Instructions for your beautiful Cathy's Candle Creation candle.

~Make sure your wick is no longer than 1/4 inch before the first burn and each burn thereafter. This will help prevent a large soot build up at the end called "mushrooming.

~ When lighting your soy candle for the first time, please allow it to melt all the way to the edge of the container: this could be 1 to 3 hours, depending on the size of the container.

~Failure to do this could cause "tunneling" which could limit the life of your candle.

~ Since each candle is individually hand poured, not mass produced, each candle is unique.

~ When using a natural soy wax, such as we create our candles from, you may find what looks like a wet spot on the glass containers, this is due to the wax not adhering to the glass, not an actual wet spot, and does happen with the soft soy wax.

~The nature of soy, after your first burn, your top may be a bit more "rustic" in how it looks, this is totally natural, and does not deter from the amazing burn you will get the next time it is lit.

~ Please remember to follow the safety label on the bottom of your candle at all times. It is recommended to not burn longer than 4 hours at a time.
